Student jobs over the age of 18 are for those who either go to high school or secondary school - or are pursuing a bachelor's or master's level.
If you choose to apply for a study relevant job, it is a prerequisite that you have reached a certain amount of time in your bachelor's or master's education.
Conversely, if you are looking for a regular unskilled job as a student, then your chances of success are greater.
Watch this short video for tips and tricks to help you apply for a student job.
Your salary in your student job may depend on what you are studying. If you go to a high school or secondary school, your level is considered by the employer to be unskilled labour.
Conversely, if you are an IT student, then you can probably negotiate for a better salary compared to other industries. This is because the demand for IT students is high.
If you find a student job where you work in the public sector, then everything else being equal, it will be the union's agreement that you come under. If you are in the process of completing your master's education, it may be that it is the academics' trade union from which you receive a salary.
A student job in the private sector depends in most cases on a wage negotiation between you and the employer.
